The civil service exam system is a system where government officials were hired by how well they did on the exam instead of family connections.
The Tang Dynasty created the civil service exam system.
There were different levels of the exam.
The two parts of the exam was the arts examination and the wushu examination.
The people celebrated when the results were announced.
The people who passed the highest imperial examination would have a favorable future ahead of them as court officials.
