In 1888, Gandhi moved to London so he could go attend University of London to study law. Gandhi eventually toke a trip to South Africa a realized that there was much Segregation against Indians. When he went back too India he was praised and seen as an activist and political leader. He later help fight for the destruction of the strict social class system because he thought it unfair and fought for laws he found ridiculous and unjust. For example, one of the many things he fought for was the salt law. There was a law that said Indians could not make their own salt even though they were surrounded by water they had to buy it from the British. So, he set up a march and walked to the ocean to make salt. He later however went to prison for breaking a law. After living a full life and fighting for many Indian right and helping India Gain civil rights and freedom he died January 30, 1948 in New Delhi, India after being assassinated by
