For example while Martin Luther King Jr. was protesting in Birmingham, Alabama he was arrested and went to jail in a letter he wrote in Birmingham jail he said "an unjust law is no law at all" he was protesting the treatment of blacks in Birmingham due to the Jim Crow laws.
