Dear U.S. Senator McCaskill and Blunt,

The purpose of this letter is to discuss with you about Civil Asset Forfeiture. First off I would like to say, I support the program and how it all falls into to place, however I believe there should be some adjustments made.
I believe that if an individual has committed an illegal crime, law enforcement should have every right to seize any property. Therefore, if the individual is innocent and law enforcement has not found any evidence showing that the individual is guilty, they should not get any charges nor get any property taken. I feel that it is unfair for someone to get personal belongings taken away from them, before there waiting to be proven guilty.
