In her essay “The Dog Ate My Disk, and Other Tales of Woe” Carolynn Segal expresses her intolerance of students turning in their assignments late with ridiculous excuses. Everyone more than likely has experienced life throwing something unexpected in his or her direction and not having time to complete that last minute homework that is due tomorrow. If I were a college professor, I would try my best to stay to strict deadlines, yet I would be understanding under certain circumstances. I would be willing to extend deadlines if I knew they were hardworking students or had a reasonable excuse with proof. I would not allow excuses from students whose procrastinating behavior has been a reoccurring issue.…

My procrastination causes stress, anxiety, and sometimes for my works to be turned in mediocre and not to my best extent, possibly even causing for a lower letter grade, which is something I would like to change.…

Alex M GLS 227 Time management can be looked at in various ways, meaning that there is good and bad time management. Managing your time is a way to allocate the time that you have to the number of tasks that you have to do. With the time that you do have in a day, you can make a choice to one of two things, be productive or waste time. Being productive will make the most of your time, from my experience actually starting on a project or assignment is the hardest step, but after that it becomes easy to keep working and finish. For example in the morning when you wake up, getting up and starting the day gives you more energy, compared to sleeping for 5 minutes more.…
