The children will be expected to attend local schools where they will first learn to read and write English and CWP will provide funding to hire qualified teachers. Students will then move on to the appropriate grade level curriculum. Immigrant families will receive assistance from community volunteers and local church organizations to learn English. Through the CWP there will be study guides provided and classes held a few times a month for adult immigrants to gain the knowledge needed, as well as, the steps needed to earn U.S. Citizenship. Given that the process of obtaining citizenship is long, it may take years. For this reason, as long as the immigrants abide by the rules of the program, the assistance will maintain available to them.
