13 reasons why was originally a novel written by Jay Asher, but has now been created into a TV show. A girl named Hannah Baker was bullied and mistreated around school and outside of it. She eventually makes her decision and wants to escape her life, she wants to kill herself, but before she does it she wants to tell her story and all the reasons on why she committed suicide. As the school mourns Hannah’s death, a classmate receives several cassette tapes labelled 1-7, double sided. It gets passed down to all of the students on the tapes, and finally we hear the story once Clay Jensen receives them. I have my opinions on why you should watch the show and reason’s why you shouldn’t.

He had no idea why he was on the tapes. Jessica did not remember getting raped by her boyfriend’s best friend, but her boyfriend knew. He didn’t want to speak the truth because it would destroy her. After Jessica finds out the truth, her relationship with Justin is gone. Hannah Baker ruined a relationship, even though she is technically dead. In the last episode, we also get word that Alex shoots himself, and is in critical condition. With leaking the tapes, Hannah Bakers actions led to one of her “ex” friends trying to commit
