I have taken two AOK1 courses: CIS 102T (Intergenerational Computing) and POL 110 (Leadership and Advocacy). For CIS 102T the professor matched me with two elderly people at a nursing home. I visited the nursing home twice a week and taught two senior citizens how to use technology while checking their blood pressure and weight to ensure that they were healthy. My goal was to help senior citizens learn to use technology in order to improve their lives. I taught the seniors I was assigned to how to uses: social media, email, Microsoft office, YouTube, Skype, online banking etc. For POL 110 I volunteered at the NYC Department of Consumer Affairs where I was interning at the time.
