In this era there are many ways attributes to health are recorded on our new and advance technology such as the amount of steps you walk, the running distance you cover, the calories you burn and many other beneficial health considerations. But what millions of people in North America have a serious problem with, is the ability to not get proper sleep and most don’t realize how detrimental that affects ones health. This could be a result of a lack of educated information such as what amount of hours a sleep the human body should obtain, or these individuals aren’t aware of their bodies are telling them. An oral supplementation of 2.5mg of melatonin will be given to the melatonin supplementation group at 19:30 eastern time daily for 4 months. The sleep-aid pharmaceuticals intervention group will be instructed with the direction of a physician to consume a sedative-hypnotic drug product called Lunesta, which is regularly used in the general population to reduce the negative effects of sleep disturbance once daily at 19:30 eastern time. Lastly, the exercise group will be supervised by a kinesiology student in their last undergraduate year to conduct a dynamic warm-up, aerobic exercise, 65-75% of HRmax for 15 minutes and resistance exercise – 8-10 reps, 2-3 sets @ 60-70 % 1RM max, followed by a 15 minute cool-down that included flexibility stretches and slow paste jog @ 30-40% of HRmax. This is intended to better healthy sleep habits increasing physical capacity, mood and daily functioning
