Every person’s way of thinking is completely different. That’s what make each and every one of us special. None of us are completely alike. Specific people have specific ways of thought that make them who they are. After taking this course, I have learned a few ways of thought that I have. The main three that apply to me that I have learned throughout this course is habituation, more about the Circadian Rhythm and how motivation effects me. After moving to further out of town right in front of a highway, I began to realize how noisy it was. We can also hear vehicles from the interstate as well. Semi’s go on the highway quite a bit. We would always complain about the noise. Then, nine years later we don’t notice it at all. I honestly don’t even think about it. There are plenty of other things that deserve my attention more than a car going by on the road. I never knew what habituation was before this class. Finally, after realizing how much it effects people every day without them knowing, I have started to realize what I became accustomed to. All of the noises in my house that my friends complain about are almost non-existent to me. After recently breaking my leg, my sleep cycle has started to get thrown off. I would see this as a drive. I have a drive to be like him. I have a drive to be like my Uncle who is a famous pilot. I want to prove myself and to my family that I can do it. Nothing they say can change my course. Motivation is what keeps a person going. It’s their goal. I never understood how big of an impact motivation had on my life until I broke my leg. Each day all I could do was think about football and how well I would do if I worked hard. Then all of the sudden that motivation as gone. I couldn’t play anymore. My team and I were destroyed.
