Hayden and Enzo skip to the food court to get their favorite cinnamon rolls from Cinnabon. Alissa opts out, as she does not want to get full before Drew’s homemade dinner tonight. After spending two hours in the mall, they make their way towards the exit. Upon reaching the parking garage, the overhead streetlights begin to turn on as nightfall sets. Alissa pays for two hours of parking and the trip home should be short, as much of the traffic has died down.
Meanwhile, Drew is at home in his office looking over some PET scans to decide his best route of action for a surgery he is operating in two days. Stressing out a bit, his patient is of old age, which is concerning for external complications during the surgery. He receives a text from his wife that she and the boys should be home in thirty minutes. Among reading this, he sets down the PET scans and heads to the kitchen. Filet mignon is thrown on the grill, green beans poured into a pot on the cooktop, and baked potatoes and rolls put into the oven. The kitchen is cleaned up and the table is set for four. Now all there is left to do is wait for the food to finishing cooking and the family to get back home.

Hayden and Enzo sit quietly in the back of the car, while the radio begins to play “I Lived” by Imagine Dragons. Looking at the rearview mirror again, Alissa notices a white truck approaching at a fast rate. The truck is erratically switching lanes going at least 110 MPH when suddenly Alissa lost vision of the truck. Reappearing out of the Escalade’s blind spot, the truck tries switching two lanes at once. Bang! The truck strikes the back of the Escalade, causing it to swerve along the highway. Alissa, Hayden, and Enzo all scream for their lives, “AHHHHHH! Lord, please help us!” as the car continues to lose

She'd planned everything, and it was all finally in order, yet she continued to stir the pot while everyone else rested before the lunch line formed. She seemed so dedicated, perfecting every stroke, making sure everything was perfect. When the lunch line began to form, I started putting warm rolls on every plate that was handed to me, studying the faces of those who waited, then continued to send them down the assembly line. I saw a man with bad burns, the pigment of his skin dis-colored in multiple areas.…
