Being more relatable can cause the viewer to more interested in the films and will want to be the successful person that the main character is. First of all, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory uses flashbacks to remember the early life of Willy Wonka and how wanted to eat candy but, could because his dentist/father did not want his teeth to rot and have the cavities that come with eating too much sweets. Tim Burton used this to show that all of the young children of today like to have candy and sweets but, when eating too much you could have horrible cavities. Another film by Tim Burton that we watch was called Edward Scissorhands. This whole movie was a flashback about how Kim fell in love with Edward. This can relate to people because even though Edward has scissors on his hands, he still has good traits and personalities. Someone may not fall in love with you at first, but when they see who you truly are, than they will fall in love with you. That last move that we watched was the Big Fish. This movie was about the different stories that were told from the dad. While the different flashback depicts that true story that happened. But his son did not think that the story were true until his dad’s death. These flashbacks of the dad show the most important times in the dad’s life and the many friends he made over the many years.
