On September 8th, 2017 in the small city Altoona, Iowa, it was a very dark and rainy night when Liam and Quinn were just getting ready to go home from a long stressful day of working at Cinemark when they both realized that the whale was completely overflowing with trash from that night. Quinn was one of the crew leaders of the ushers at Cinemark but she wasn’t old enough to take out the trash to the compactor to load and start it, luckily for Quinn, Liam was old enough to take it out. When Quinn and Liam went outside to the back side of Cinemark to the compactor they kept hearing a growling sound but they didn't seem to mind it since it was nothing new to them. A few minutes later when Liam was loading the trash into the compactor when Quinn saw something really strange and out of the ordinary. Quinn quickly but quietly whispered to Liam, “Liam why is there a just random red balloon just floating over by the storm drain?”
Liam still in the building where the trash compactor was, “ you’re probably just seeing things, because of how tired you are.”
“Liam, no really its right here in front of me!”

Quinn saw that there was cardboard in the bottom of the whale, so she took the whale to the recycling bin next to the balloon and the storm drain, and then she saw a glimpse of what seemed to be a yellow paper boat. She bent down just enough so her clothes weren't touching the ground getting soaked but just enough that she could see inside the storm drain.
