There are over 900 Cinderella stories! Some old and some new. Some of the stories are from 1900s. The first Cinderella story was written on February 15th 1697 by Charles Perrault. The idea of Cinderella was from a Chinese document signed by the Grimm brothers.
All three of the Cinderella stories have some type of magic, the German version has magic birds, the Chinese version has magic fish bones, and the native-American has an invisible prince. In all three of the Cinderella stories the Cinderella character is treated poorly, in the German version the Cinderella has to clean out the bowl of lentils many times, In the Chinese version the step-mom killed Cinderella’s fish, and in the Native-American version the older sisters burned Cinderella’s face with HOT cinders and cut her hair off. In all the stories something bad happens to one of the step-people, in the German version the step-sisters get their eyes pecked out by the magic birds, In the Chinese version the step-mom gets killed by fling rocks, And in the Native-American the step-sisters get turned into trees. Also all of the Cinderella stories have a prince. In all of the stories Cinderella and prince end up together.

Germany, China, and the United states. In the native-American story there is no shoe to try on to see who’s the right one for the prince, but there is also no ball to go to. In the Native-American story the prince is invisible! IN all of the stories all the names are all different.
As you have read there are many differences and similarities between the Cinderella characters. There are also many different people from different cultures. The big message I got out of all these stories is that treat people the way you want to be treated, Because if you don’t it will come back to hunt you

In the Grimm Brothers’ story the Prince came himself, while in the Disney story, the Prince sent the Duke to find his bride. The way the step-sisters acted is also much different. In the Grimm Brothers’ tale, when the step-sisters saw that their foot would not fit into the shoe, they cut off parts of their feet. When the first step-sister got the shoe to fit, the Prince took her away to the castle to be wed, but when he saw there was blood in the shoe, he realized that he had the wrong bride and brought her back, which also happened with the other step-sister. In the Disney tale, the step-sisters only tried to squeeze their foot into the shoe, without any blood or gore.…

The Brother Grimm’s version of Cinderella has hidden meanings in the stories that teach us about how the story resembles or symbolize our society. The first symbol in the story that stood out to me the most is the stepsisters representing society 's cruelness and greed. The second symbol was the stepmother’s envy of Cinderella 's beauty, because Cinderella was more beautiful than her daughter 's. The stepmother thought that her daughter’s were not as beautiful as Cinderella and as a result she was envious of Cinderella, this represent a society dominated by envy and hate. The third symbol is the hazel tree that provided Cinderella with the wisdom and inspiration to overcome the abuse she was going through, this represents how society rewards…
