Cinderella Stories Similarities

These Cinderella stories have similarities and differences. One main similarity is they all have step-mothers. But, they all are from different countries of origin. All of the Cinderella stories were written from different time periods. In most of the Cinderella stories there are step-sisters as well.

First, the three Cinderella stories were all written long ago. In these stories they all have a Cinderella character. When you read all of these stories like “ Aschenputtel ”, “Yeh Shen”, and “ The Algonquin Cinderella” the young girl Known as Cinderella gets treated very poorly by the stepmother and the stepsisters. Although these three stories all of the Godmothers are different, the Aschenputtel story has birds, Yeh Shen has fish spirited bones, and the Algonquin Cinderella doesn’t have a fairy godmother. differences in the Cinderella stories is with the stepmother and the stepsisters, in the poem the stepmother makes it look like Cinderella doesn’t know what she is talking about.
