The movie started out with an old lady meeting with book writers to tell them the true story about the “cinder girl”. Then the movie goes back in time to the sixteenth century Europe were Danielle the main character of the movie father died when she was young and her stepmother turned her into a servant. Prince Henry of France is being forced into an arranged marriage by his father, King Francies. Prince Henry does not want an arranged marriage so he begins to run away from the kingdom and his father sends the royal guard after him. He encounters Danielle while she is picking apples and takes her fathers horse. Once Danielle is out, de Vinci gets her mothers dress and makes a pair of wings to put on it. Once she arrives at the ball she tries to talk to Prince Henry about her being a servant but her Rodmilla exposes her as a servant before she can tell him herself. Heartbroken Danielle runs out of the castle losing one of her glass slippers. Being that Prince Henry did not announce his engagement his father did so for him. The wedding of Henry and Gabriella begins but seeing how unhappy they are Prince Henry calls off the wedding and begins to look for Danielle. Prince Henry finds out that Rodmilla sold Danielle to Pierre le Pieu. Once Pieu has her he tries to kiss Danielle but she cuts Pieu face with a sword then threatens him, but he surrendered and gave her a key to the shackles she was forced to wear. Prince Henry arrives to talk to Danielle and ask for her forgiveness. Then he ask her if she will marry him and places the glass slipper on her …show more content…
The Mona Lisa was one of the famous art pieces that was in the film. Leonardo da Vinci is a famous artist in the movie he was like the godfather because he was giving advice to Prince Henry and he fixed up Danielles dress before the ball. If Leonardo da Vinci wouldn 't have been in the movie the movie would have been totally different because the Prince Henry might have never gotten caught by the royal guard if he didn 't stop to rescue da Vinci’s painting and their wouldn’t have been someone to get Danielle out of the pantry and fix her dress before the ball. I enjoyed watching the movie, it had a good twist on the fairy tale. What I learned from this movie is that it’s never to late to start a piece of art and you never know one day it could become
