Church Observation Paper

I attended the church called a Family Of God Baptist church in Panama City Florida. During my spring break, I went to Panama City Florida on my last day there I started my observation. This particular morning around 8:30am on March 26, I went to observe the Sunday worship service on the west campus of this church. I chose the 8:30am service because I'm used to early morning things. I pulled up to the church at least fifteen minutes before worship and there were a lot of cars there. This church was by a highway and across the street there was a Methodist church. Walking into the church it smelled like fresh air. There was soft worship music playing and the church was almost packed. His sermon consisted of the pastor preaching about not only salvation and united but he also told us about forgiveness and doing gods' work. About 25 mins in there was a collection plate sent around through the entire church. This sermon continued on for about an hour and 30 minutes. Ending the sermon there was the second offering plate that went around and that's when After praying over the money the pastor told about prayer requests. You could tell that this church was a family even during the sermon I felt a part of that church family. Before heading out the pastor actually came up to me and started a conversation. He said he made it a habit to speak with newcomers. I told him who I was, where I came from and that I chose this church to do the assignment on. I told him my school assignment was to write an observation paper on a church I attended and he asked if I got everything I needed for the paper. I told him yes and I also gain a better spiritual understanding and that his church not only gave me enough information but it made me feel
