Although churches are not considered businesses they really are and those that run like a business are usually more successful in raising money and bringing in new members. The difference is many megachurches execute marketing strategies to increase membership which increases tithes and offerings. The high-profile of the megachurches attract even more members, for example, the non-denominational World Changers Church International based in Atlanta is a megachurch with 30,000 members and worth $80 million in revenue per year (Mooney, 2015). The pastor Creflo Dollar is worth $27 million from book sales, speaking engagements, and other activities. Creflo Dollar was successful by with strategic implications and recall which raised brand awareness of what World Changers Church International had to offer.
