The place I decided to write about was church camp. This specific church camp has held many important memories to me over the past 8 years. Some of my fondest moments were held in this church camp. It takes place in the Black Hills, which is in Rapid City, South Dakota. Some of my favorite memories include the day I met my best friend; also the day my oldest brother surprised us all after not seeing him for 4 years. He was away in Afghanistan. I still remember this day very clear as if it was just yesterday. My oldest brother Matt had been gone in Afghanistan for 4 years, and was not able to come home to visit. When he finally was able to come home he got in contact with all the pastors who ran the church camp. They set up a surprise party for …show more content…
It was the day I met my best friend Andrew. It was a normal day we had just got to the camp after a long day traveling. I was walking to the stone picnic tables that were in the same spot as the past years. I was sitting down alone waiting for my youth group to come over there, so we could figure out our cabin numbers. The next thing I knew a random stranger whom i've never seen before came and sat down next to me. We exchanged names, and where we were from. He is from Huron South Dakota. We instantly became best friends. We were inseparable. It was so hard for us to say goodbye at the end of the week, but we stayed in contact. Later in that year I surprised him for his birthday by going down to Huron without telling him. He is my whole world and will always be my best friend. We have been best friends for 5 years, and yes we fight a lot, but our friendship is so strong we always make up. Andrew has been there for me through thick and thin; through the good and bad. I have no clue where I would be right now if I had never met him. He is 17 years old; he turns 18 in December. When he graduates he is getting a place. When I turn 18 he is moving me down there and we are going to live together like classic best friends in college. He is going to be part of my life forever I love him

What my husband's advancement to Chief Petty Officer means to me? The answer of that question could be 10 pages long or I could just resume what I feel in one word, "extremely proud", well I guess two words. I met Christian 16 years ago, he was full of energy, funny, and he had the ability to turn any sad or bad situation into a joke making everybody laugh; that is what make me fell in love with him. On the other hand, he was a little immature, unfocused when it comes to work, and nothing seemed to fulfill his expectations. I always knew that his passion was a career in the military, but that was out of question in my book!…

Grace Baptist Church kindly welcomed my attendance to the first religious service I have been to in over a decade. Each member is actively involved in the church community as well as local charities. Overall positive, the experience enlightened my comprehension of the congregation’s convictions pertaining to religious values and where they are derived from. Pleasantly greeted as well as given a compassionately farewell the members of the church treated me with the utmost respect. Nonetheless, members do not always welcome individuals nicely, such as those within the LGBTQ+ community are not readily accepted as easily.…
