CHS Girls Cross Country Takes Second in Hill City

On a course infamously known for its steep hills, the Colby High School Girl’s Cross Country team placed second, scoring 57 points. The boys team took fourth with 82 points.

The girl’s team had three individual medalists, each finishing the course in less than 26 minutes. Lexi Finley placed sixth with a time of 24:41, Brittany Foss placed seventh with a time of 24:59 and Abigail Wetter placed ninth with a time of 25:27. Other runners included Mariana Moreno, who placed 29th with a time of 29:36 and Liliana Leyva, who placed 40th with a time of 42:55.

On the boy’s varsity team, Ryan Voss placed 12th with a time of 20:13, Paeton McCarty placed 13th with a time of 20:18, John Zerr placed 24th
