Chronicles Of Narania Movie Vs Book

Decent Essays
My selection is about the Chronicles of Narania. It's about 4 siblings who go into a wooden closet and discover a whole new world.

Event #1: In the book, the Lucy went into the closet and she met Mr. Tumnus (a faun). In the movie Lucy did the same thing. The only difference was the faun didn't cry when he told her he was a bad faun.

Event #2: In the movie, the Snow Queen froze one of their friends, but that part wasn't in the book.

Event #3: In the book, when they where at war with the queen and her army, it didn't seem as real in the book as in the movie.

The Snow Queen and the lion seemed more real in the movie becuase of the action and the sound effects. In the book it was all in my head and I had to mentally imagine their character.

Like many other movies derived from books, there are numerous differences. The book has many people who aren't named in the movie, and the movie shows scenes that the book does not. The book described the Abramowiczs as a fairly poor family in a small shtetl, but in the movie it shows a wealthy family in a big village. There are also many similarities between the book and the movie. Both the book and movie contain the same main ideas in the plot, and have more or less the same storyline.…

In the The Outsiders book and movie, many similarities and differences can be noted. Some are very noticeable, and others are not as much. Some main events in the book were left out of the movie, and little sentences from the book are entire scenes in the movie. Since certain scenes were left out from the movie that were in the book, the significant aspects and symbolism that were connected to them were also left out. In “The Landlady”, Billy Weaver is lured into a seemingly normal bed and breakfast by an old lady who, despite her gentle and unthreatening appearance, wants to kill him. It is a story about how those with cruel intent may take advantage of those who are innocent and naive. Although the book and the movie can be arguably similar if generalized, there are many differences that may change the way a reader/viewer may grasp the concept of the story. Since a movie and book cannot be exactly the same, the film version is bound to have things that differ from the text. One example of how the book develops the development of the story is with the setting.…
