Chronic pain management is one of a number of conditions that cannabidiol (CBD) has been shown to be a useful remedy. According to the National Institute of Health (NIH), chronic pain is any pain lasting more than 12 weeks, even months. This kind of pain may occur as a result of a past health condition or injury, which may not have healed completely. A back injury is a good example of such a condition, but chronic pain can manifest in any location in the body, and may have the potential to significantly affect a person’s mobility, by minimizing flexibility, strength, and stamina. The result is a diminished quality of life, where everyday tasks become tedious or impossible, and enjoyment become elusive and is replaced with disability and anguish.
