Hello Heather, I agree with what you stated about healthcare cost can be credited to chronic medical illnesses. The book mentioned that so many people do not take advance or couldn’t afford care that will prevent against chronic illnesses. The chronic illness individuals are causing the cost healthcare to increase due to the cost of their medications. Yes, medical errors could be due to the lack of education and training, but most healthcare facility require the healthcare provider to take so many of training course to help prevent errors.
