Christopher felt that he was living this lie with his family, felt as if he was an alien in his own home. Feeling that, made him looking for a place to call home and left his whole life that he had. Still while living with his family he felt alienated just as Kavita Sreedhar felt “ just as I was setting foot into the country at one of these immigration counters, I had my first taste of how alien I was to feel in my own homeland” (Sreedhar 63). Kavita Sreedhar had an experience that would benefit her family and it was kind confusing to her at first. “My brother eased my conscience by zeroing in on the fact that it worked out for the benefit of our family”( Sreedhar 65).
