Christopher Hitchens is definitely an atheist. His essay contains explicit content not suited for the old. He wrote his essay with gusto and passion; he is truly a romantic. Ironically, his arguments are all based on logic and reasoning. It can be said that Christopher Hitchen is telling no lies. I especially like how he mocks Christians in this essay, especially, how he states that those who advocate the presence of God is advocating the presence of the God of hatred. Now the Christian faith is usually considered to be the religion of love which makes this quite ironic. However, the evidence that supports his claims are unarguably overwhelming. If we looked carefully through the history of our world, we will find that billions of us had died in millions of grisly ways: torture, war, starvation, sickness, rape; you named it. If God had truly planned all of this, then he is definitely not a nice guy. The excuse that he’s perfect is also not plausible since he’s God and the excuse ‘ I am only God’ just doesn’t sound right.
