Christopher columbus was an italian explorer who completed four voyages across the atlantic ocean in search for a water route west from europe to asia. Even though columbus never reached north america he did end up in hispaniola. Technological advances have greatly changed our world since the voyages of columbus. If columbus had just some of the technology we have today in 2016, he might have actually found america. Even though columbus did not have technology like sailors have today however, if he would have had a speed boat then it would change the whole course of history. If columbus had a speed boat like the 21 century has do today, then he probably would have made it to his destination faster. Not only would he have gotten there faster …show more content…
He also would have been able to get picture, audio, or video footage of the things he seened or learned while he was trying to discover america. The cell phone would have also came in very handy after he got all the evidence of what he found, he would have been able to send all of his pictures, videos, and audios back to spain without waiting to get back to spain to show them. A quadrant is a tool that is used to measure angles up to 90 degrees. A sandglass was a tool that is a mechanical device used to measure the passage of time. It comprises two glass bulbs connected vertically by a narrow neck that allows a regulated trickle of material from the upper bulb to the lower bulb. A nocturnal is a tool used to used to determine the local time based on the relative positions of two or more stars. It was also useful to help navigate through the dark. A lunar calendar is a tool used to trick the native on san salvador into giving columbus food and shelter. They believed that he could make the moon disappear forever and cause doom and destruction. Most of these tools were very useful in his time and it at least helped him find one new world, even though it was not
