Christopher Columbus’s voyage was less than pleasant for him and his fellow passengers. The lack of vitamin C put the lives of all aboard in danger. Scurvy was widespread in such conditions and took the lives of many voyagers. Columbus’s unawareness of nearby vegetation sources that would provide plenty of vitamin C, threatened him and his crew (Tielser 1) If modern medicine was introduced to the time of Columbus, malnutrition would have ceased to be an issue. It took Columbus’s voyage three month to arrive to their destination. Consequently, a messenger would have to be sent all the way back to Spain to tell of this news. If today’s cell phones, computers, and cameras had been available to Columbus, it would have made the process of communicating with the head of state much simpler and quicker. Instructions would have been followed more accurately and news of Columbus’s corruption in the New World would have been buzzing all over Spain. There would have been broadcast of every step of Columbus’s journey and teams of experts awaiting the opportunity to fix problems, give ideas, and assist Columbus whenever an error might
