That trust can be very hard to gain but very easy to lose. In the story Christopher ends up running away from home. Christopher ran away because he couldn’t trust his father anymore. Christopher was afraid to go to Mrs. Alexander house. Since he didn’t know if he could trust her or would she call the police. Also, when Christopher was finally with his mother he didn’t want to return to his father’s house at all. Due to the loss of trust it made it impossible for Christopher to be near or with his father. Trust is one of those factors in a relationship which can make or break everything. Trust will ruin everything for people and people involved. Like a common case of lost trust is cheating. If someone gets caught cheating trusting that person again not to cheat is 10x times harder than at the beginning. Trust does ruin relationships and lives. Lies and truth are one of the scariest things you will experience with other people. You will always be second guessing yourself asking yourself are they telling the truth? But in the story Christopher reads the letters, Father came in saying “I’m so so sorry, you read the letters and I’m sorry for lying.” When Christopher heard that he knew he was lied too and all his trust was gone. The biggest lie that was told in this book was when Christopher’s Father said that Christopher Mother died. Which is just so messed up that Father said that without even telling Christopher the truth sooner. Then letting Christopher find out for himself. But a truth that was told was when Mrs. Alexander was talking to Christopher and told him “Your mother and Mr. Shears was doing the sex.” Without Mrs. Alexander saying the truth Christopher would have to be find out everything all at once which could possible affect him mentally. Truth and Lies relates back to life. Since it’s the most common cause of the dividing of people. It effects more people than you
