Christmas Tree Or Real

Decent Essays
Are real or artificial Christmas trees better? My final opinion is that I like artificial better than a real Christmas tree. One reason I like the artificial tree better is because it can be reused year after year. Also you do not have to water or pick up dead needles off your floor. Another reason is that their easy to pack and unpack plus they come in many different colors, shapes, and sizes. Finally, another good reason to have an artificial tree is that if someone has allergies they will not be allergic to it. There is only a few cons about the artificial tree and that is they are not biodegradable and they might also contain lead in them which is harmful to the human health.

Although I picked the artificial tree the real ones

“The hair was curiously stirred, as if by breath or hot air.” (Dickens 14) The ghosts in Charles Dickens novel A Christmas Carol were portrayed creatively and the director of one of the many film interpretations recreated the ghosts almost exactly like Dickens. Three of the ghosts in the film seemed to the most tantamount to the ghosts interpreted in the movies. They were: the ghost of Jacob Marley, the ghost of Christmas past, and the ghost of Christmases yet to come.…

The most important character among three Christmas ghosts in A Christmas Carol Christmas Carol was an influent novel which was written by Charles Dickens throughout one and half century about a life of Ebenezer Scrooge as a negative, penny-pinching and distasteful man in London. No one had ever wished to work as an employee in his office after his best business partner Jacob Marley died except Bob Cratchit. Nothing in the world would scare Scrooge if it wasn’t about the gold coins. The man, who used to be a heartless person, had changed in just a few nights before Christmas Eve coming. At this point, we must be thankful to three Christmas Ghosts which demonstrated Scrooge life’s faults and gave him a chance to change his bad…

Have you ever wondered why the U.S does daylight savings time and the rest of the world doesn’t? The U.S has been using daylight savings time for years while other countries have stopped after WW2. In the articles“Pros & Cons: Daylight Savings time” by Proscons.org and the article “The Curious and Contentious Story of Daylight Saving Time” by David Prerau they state that daylight savings is both good and bad. Although some argue that the U.S should eliminate daylight savings, I believe that daylight savings should remain because of the reduced exposure to artificial light and the decreased risk of car accidents involving children in the afternoon. One advantage to daylight savings time is the reduced exposure to artificial light.…

For the most part growing up in a middle class family and in a fairly small town like Saginaw makes it easy to think that everyone else is just as financially stable as your family. This can lead to the mind set that really low income families live in a different city, state, or even a different country. Sometime it takes the holidays to realize that families who have trouble to provide necessities for living live right in your community, and can't financially afford to provide a dream Christmas for their children which provides hope through their struggles. The importance of understanding this and then applying action is highly encouraged through programs such as The Salvation Army's angel tree of which I've taken a part of, and applied to…

So Phoenix got together with Bill Murray and friends to make a Christmas song - in other words, you’ve already been out-cooled today by this weird and wonderful idea of a indie musical marriage, with Sofia Coppola and Wes Anderson as the in laws. Unfortunately, “Alone on Christmas Day” falls frustratingly in between a litany of interesting directions that could have been taken - Murray’s amiable intro to the song, along with his injections of “Gotta move on,” into the song’s chorus, deserve more time. Phoenix get into a bit of a groove on this track, but it’s tempered by the sleigh bells and Murray’s vocals - what comes out is a song pulled in two different directions, between warm Christmas family jam ready for the mantle, and Phoenician ballad.…
