How was my sister able to go to this super expensive concert for a super famous band that was all the way in Saint Louis, you ask? It all started when my sister’s best friend Rayna called her up and asked, “Wanna go to a Pentatonix concert?…

This past Sunday I attended the school play, which was a comedy based along the storylines of The Christmas Carol. I noticed many people from the community brought their children along for the comedy. For someone who doesn’t really care for plays, or Christmas it was somewhat interesting to go into the play having doubts beforehand and coming out of it with a different view. The exposition started off the same as The Christmas Carrol.…

As I am sitting in the cold, frigid, choir room, I am focused on my choir director, Mr. DeBore, who is wearing khaki dress pants with a light blue dress shirt, and a blue and tan designed tie. Behind him is a bright green wall covered with posters of cheat-sheets with different subject matter we cover in class and see in our sheet music every day. As he begins to start warm ups, like we do every morning, a thought comes to his mind and as usual, he trails off to a totally different topic. It was getting close to ACTs and student testing; it was my freshman year, and I haven’t taken these tests before so I was freaking out, as I usually do about tests and I needed to do good on it.…
Show choir has always played a big role in my life. Even when I don’t want it to be. But it has always been my fall back; my backbone. The people still seize to amaze me in every way possible. I’m glad I joined show choir and it really is a life experience, it teaches you how to be social, how to help someone who is in need, it teaches you to learn how to work with others and have a good work ethic and respect everyone.…

When learning music, it is much more complex than putting together creative lyrics and a catchy tune. Music requires much thought and effort in order to create a successful sound. Learning music requires an abundance of memory and patience. But how is our mind supposed to remember certain musical terms and characteristics? When dealing with memory, our brains work almost similar to a computer.…
Upon seeing A Christmas Carol on the night of Friday, November 18th, I had what I thought to be a firm understanding of the Charles Dicken’s classic. It was until the show was over that I realized my previous interpretation was completely senseless, with little to no opinion deriving beyond the script. As I dove into the performance in the Joan C, Edwards playhouse, I made personal connections that I had never made before when watching other adaptions of A Christmas Carol, in particular Scrooge (1970), my father’s favorite. Every detail of this performance aided in my overwhelming positive review, asserting this play as my favorite of all the revisions I have seen.…
Anyone who follows my site and my twitter feed knows that one of my all-time favorite actors is Brennan Elliott, and in many ways, I have him to thank for bringing the enchanting Madison Brydges to my attention. He is the one who announced that she was portraying his daughter in the upcoming Hallmark film Love you Like Christmas, and I immediately contacted her for an interview. Quite ecstaticly, she agreed and shared a bit about how she got started as an actress, her current and upcoming roles, and her outlook and perspective on this business into which she has been jubilantly thrust. RH: Madison, I am so happy we get to chat today. MB:…
