Descriptive Essay On Christmas Eve

Christmas eve every year was held at my aunt Connie’s house. This year i am especially excited because everyone is going to be there, and no one is out of town. Nothing can beat christmas eve at my aunts house. Every year something exciting happens and you can never know what to expect. Clumpy, white, snowflakes fell on the ground as i stepped out of the car to walk into the house. The snow was thick, you could hear the crunch the snow made when i walked. It was definitely Christmas eve weather and it was the most snow that has fallen this year. A breeze blew by as i opened the door to my Aunts house, i could smell the sweet sugar cookies and crumble cinnamon apple pie. A tradition for my family is to wear christmas sweaters every year for …show more content…
There are seven of us, and in order from youngest to oldest is how we opened presents. Luckily, for me i was the 3rd youngest. I stared at the presents under the christmas tree while the adults were trying to organize the children and sit somewhere on the couch. Presents of gold, silver, red, green, even white wrapped around the christmas tree until a quarter ways up the 8 ft tree. All the colors were exciting me, but i wouldn 't take one step closer to the tree because its branches were so sharp like a porkey pines needle. I always looked at the presents under the beautiful tree but i wasn 't that dumb to get poked by the pine. Everyone was situated and i focused back on the center of the room and my Aunt Nancy talking. For some odd reason she explained that some people might not like the gift they get this year, which i thought was confusing because her gifts are beyond comparison to any others. She exclaimed we could all open hers first. All of a sudden my cousins and i shredded left and right, hearing the satisfying ripping sound of a present being unwrapped. Feeling the smooth paper and then crumbling it into a little ball. I began to grin cheek to cheek, she got me the new barbie doll i wanted. She was a brunette with hair down to her butt, with a huge pink gown on her. I was beyond excited i looked around to see if everyone else 's reaction was the same. All of my cousins …show more content…
I could feel my face getting redder and redder by the second and then it got really hot like i was sitting in the sun for hours. Without even thinking i began to cry out of anger for my cousin Trevor. He got toilet paper for christmas, just about the worst gift you could receive. After presents i ignored my aunt Nancy for the rest of the night and was furious at her for ruining my cousins christmas, although he looked to be fine. Later, when my family and i walked to the car in the blistering cold, i couldn 't stop thinking about how mean my Aunt was that she only gave him toilet paper and a card stuck to it for

Wearing my Christmas pajamas, I rushed into the cold, blue car as quick as I could. I was excitedly telling my sister, who was carrying several board games, to hurry so we would not be late. The anticipation was killing me. Arriving at grandmas, I opened the big red door and the smells of freshly baked cookies and hot chocolate rushed up to greet me. Walking around the house, I recognized the Christmas decorations that were in the traditional places.…

My Mom would tell this story to my brother and I put us to sleep. As the story went on I grew up. I became the eldest of four kids, moved house twice, graduated high school, moved away from home.…

My first experience of snow was like a snow globe, except it seemed whoever was shaking it wasn’t going to stop. Snow Globes are a model of a scene surrounded by particles of fake, white matter resembling snow, but when shaken it turns to a magnificent snowstorm. While I have many snow globes at my house collected from my childhood, this was the first one I was in. I think a lot about the countless times my dad has told me of stories of his childhood. His numerous adventures of snow days, seasonal change, and free time in the backyard.…

This past Sunday I attended the school play, which was a comedy based along the storylines of The Christmas Carol. I noticed many people from the community brought their children along for the comedy. For someone who doesn’t really care for plays, or Christmas it was somewhat interesting to go into the play having doubts beforehand and coming out of it with a different view. The exposition started off the same as The Christmas Carrol.…

On December 9th at 7 p.m. in the Little Theatre, my sister and I went to go see San Juan College’s production of A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. The interpretation of this play was directed by Dallas Padoven, a guest artist. The plot of A Christmas Carol is that Ebenezer Scrooge thinks it's all humbug, criticizing his faithful clerk, Bob Cratchet, and his cheerful nephew, Fred, for their views. Later, Scrooge encounters the ghost of his late business partner, Jacob Marley, who warns that three spirits will visit him this night. The ghosts take Scrooge on a journey through his past, present and future in the hope of transforming his bitterness.…

Christmas break in my opinion is probably the second best brake that we have throughout our school year. The main thing I like about Christmas break is how long it is. But even though I like how long we are off school it's almost like we don't have a break because basketball takes over. We get a few days off but the rest of the days are hitting the gym early in the mornings for two to three hours a day. The days I have is the best thing in the world because I get to relax and do something fun for once.…

This was probably one of the best days of my life.
