1. Conceptualizing the Event
Organized by Hong Kong event Management Company to bid and manager an event, The annual Christmas Carnival has been provisionally held from 1 November, 2016 to 31 January, 2017. The event is situated in prime position on the Central Harbourfront. Conveniently situated in prime position location with easy public access, developed transportation links, the visitor can walk within distance from nearby MTR Hong Kong Station, Central Station, and Admiralty station. With up to 36,000 sq. of land, the Central Harbourfront Event Space is a highly flexible site able to hold a variety of the Christmas Carnival (Central Venue Management Limited, 2014). Therefore, the sector is leisure travel which can always attracted the attention of leisure visitors and local resident. Leisure travel means that for pleasure, outdoor recreation and entertainments (UNWTO, 03 Jun 2015).
Nowadays, the Tourism trend is visitors seek for high quality service, attractions of tourism enterprises believe that experience can manage and packaging, so that visitors will only be offered exiting and memorable experiences (Ooi, 2004). Ambience involves to customers' perceptions (Milliman, 1986) and experiences effect of the background conditions in the environment (Otto and Ritchie, 1996).
Overall, customer experiences are major feature to success (Mattila, A.S. and Wirtz, J, 2001) and affect the consumer reactions to scented promotional items (Milotic, 2003) and creates an atmosphere that customers find relaxing, warm, and intimate to products(Heide, M. and Grønhaug, K., 2006).
