Christine In Ripley's Aquarium

Decent Essays
Out of all the characters in the plays I would chose Christine, for I'm curious to she how she's doing after the events of the first play and so she can have a fun day with no fears. At the start of the day we shall head off to downtown Toronto and watch street performers for a couple of hours and then go find some food. My reasoning behind this is Christine has talent and I would want to show her some of the amazing talents. After eating we can go off to Ripley's Aquarium and see some awesome sea life, this place is really neat for in one of the areas its a moving sidewalk and the fish can swim over your head and there can be a shark that swims right beside you and this dome like area. Later on we shall wonder around into small shops that

After seeing the play, Silent Sky, it opened my eyes to all of the inequality that occurred during the time of the early 1900’s. During this time, women didn’t have equal roles as men did when it came to work and opportunities. Silent Sky is an educational play that teaches the lesson on how a person should follow their dreams, never stop fighting for their rights, and not give up on their dreams. The play had five actors, with one actor playing only one character. The main character, Henrietta Leavitt, is an inspiring astronomer who began working at Harvard University.…

People often face difficult and dangerous situations in life. Marlin from "Finding Nemo", has been a scared-cat from pretty much the moment he found out he would be a father, and with good reason losing your wife in a violent attack would make anybody skittish. But like so many parents when they are called upon to protect their kids, Marlin finds his own true bravery when it counts, traveling across the entire ocean and facing all kinds of threats in dogged pursuit of his son. He's not only just brave when he successfully escapes the bloodthirsty sharks, or navigates through the jellyfish and let's the whale shoot him and Dory out of the blowhole.…

The story I chose for the movie is “Cathedral” by Raymond Carver. It’s a very interesting and simple story that change the perspective of a narrator of how he can see beyond the surface, and the inner self. The writer uses a first-person narrator to emphasize the hidden aspects of the story that are beyond human experience which the narrator relates too. For the cast, the role of un-named narrator would play by my uncle. My aunt will play the role of un-named narrator’s wife.…

Play Review For my play review I chose Medea, originally written by Euripides and redone by director Robert Whitehead in 1982. The play Medea is about a wife betrayed by her unfaithful husband, Jason who marries Clauce, the King of Corinths daughter. Medea and her two sons are then exiled by Creon the King of Corinth in fear that she may cast some spell or evil doing upon his land and daughter. Medea’s heart has already turned cold by the loss of her husband to another woman and the loss of her own home.…

Gender equality has been debatably the most pressing issue for the last century. Unfortunately for many this equilibrium between the rights of men and women has yet to be reached. Throughout the play A Streetcar Named Desire, it becomes clear that characters conform to gender roles, which have been set forth in our history. More specifically in the way men treat women and how women expect to be treated. These gender roles have been changed over time, but many examples of these events can still be found today.…

In the Last Night of the ballyhoo play by Alfred Uhry, the whole production of the play was beyond magnificent for a first-time student who has never attended a play before. The different scenes and stage production was very up to par and the characters were very outstanding. There are a few complaints I would like to critique to make the production kind of more valuable but overall, I enjoyed the play tremendously. Starting off, each character plays a significant role in the production theme. Characters personalities were a main key point that mostly helped to create the genre of the play.…

Dustin Mosko directed the production of Fuddy Meers, written by David Lindsay-Abaire and performed by the Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film, which I attended on October 6, 2015 at 7:30 pm. The story was somewhat confusing to keep me engaged, but I feel like that was the goal of the playwright. However, I wasn’t satisfied with the ending.…

The play that I most preferred was Topdog/Underdog. This is because the play is full of lessons to learn and shows valuable lessons that are good to keep in mind while going through specific moments in life. The book shows how even siblings who are blood related can get into arguments with each other and be unfair to one another. The play Topdog/Underdog is preferable because it shows how blood related siblings do not always get along, there can be trust issues between brothers and also it is difficult to live with others sometimes, even if they are related to an individual.…
