Christine Brooks Westchester Case

As a regional claims manager of a very prestige insurance company, Christine Brooks is the one in charge of zone organization and her office is located in Westchester. The company is having some financial issues due to the premiums that were being paid by the policy holders were not sufficient a well as diverse unwritten insurance losses because of this the company is having to cut the costs in the Westchester Zone Reorganization. Due to all of these happenings the company felt that they were backed into a corner and they decided to raise the cost of auto insurance. This they hoped would help salvage a percent of what they had lost.

There are currently four claim offices that are located in Westchester the corporate management has decided to break these offices up into just one single claims office. This is where Christine as regional claims manager has to come up with a plan on how to make this change and breakdown of offices come together as one. Christine could then propose to corporate what she had come up with. The results of the survey were positive as well a negative a to the big change that was being made. "Whether change is planned or unplanned, it is typically something that happens to people whether they agree with it or not." (Vrazel, 2013 p.3).
