The Islamic tradition recognizes a lot of both the Jewish and Christian prophets, including Moses, Abraham, and Jesus although he is not considered to be the Son of God within the Islam religion. Although by mistake many non-Muslims believe that Muhammad is the equivalent of Jesus Christ within the Islamic tradition, when in fact the Quran is what stands as the equivalent of Jesus within the Islamic tradition. In the Islamic religion there are six pillars of faith: Belief in Allah which means there is one unique God (Allah) who should be worshipped and obeyed, his angels also known as “ Mala-eka” believed to have been created by Allah , his books to mankind which is believed to have been revealed from time to time through his prophets there are five prominent books which include: Abraham’s scroll, Zabur (Psalms), revealed to prophet David, Tawrah (Torah), revealed to the prophet Moses, and also revealed to the prophet Jesus, another pillar includes: his prophets and messengers which Muslims believe that Allah sent prophets to all of mankind as messengers for their guidance, another pillar is the day of judgment and also destiny, although in Christianity there is no such thing as “pillars of faith”, faith is based on belief in Jesus Christ, his books to mankind also known as “The Bible”, and also “Judgment Day”. In fact, Islam rejects all forms of terrorism, extremism and fundamentalism. To terrorize others or harm others is actually considered to be a sin in the religion of Islam. The word Jihad has become a term that is used incorrectly, Jihad does not mean “Holy War” and is not meant to declare war against others especially Christians. Jihad means striving or struggling or exerting more effort for the betterment of one’s self or community at large. Just as Christianity has, over time people have misinterpreted beliefs and slowly Islamic Radicals have done the same.

Christianity and Islam were once very similar religions, but overtime different social aspects have led them to become seemingly different and lead to war. Both religions were intended to be the same in regards to beliefs but Muslims who have misinterpreted the Quran ultimately is what has led to the chaos between the two religions.

Islam and Hinduism Before we start with the description of Islam and Hinduism we need to understand what its religion, or at least try to comprehend the meaning of religion. The definition of religion is very difficult, many have try but they focus on only the few aspects of religion, some will exclude beliefs, practices and those religions that will not fit well. As Kile Jones once he wrote trying to define religion “It is apparent that religion can be seen as a theological, philosophical, anthropological, sociological, and psychological phenomenon of human kind. To limit religion to only one of these categories is to miss its multifaceted nature and lose out on the complete definition.” The two religion that I choose to investigate are the Hinduism and Islam because Hinduism and Islam are the third and second most popular religion around the world.…
