I am excited and very enthusiastic to begin and continue to work toward my goal and achieving my bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies. As strange as this may sounds before I decided to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies, I truly did not know if I ever wanted to attend college again. I already have an associate’s in arts, and with my military background I assumed I would be able to find a descent occupation after my military retirement. Also unfortunate, being in the military, there are times where I, or any other Soldiers will have to set their ambitions or goals aside to accomplish the mission of the military. The more I read and study it, the hungrier I am to for it. Studying the Bible not only increases my knowledge on what we as Christians on this earth should act and react in situations in this world but it also allows me to know and have a growing closer relationship with God. One evening, as I was reading and studying the Bible, I had this great sensation that God was speaking to me and that I needed to study the Bible more in debt. Since then my mind can’t seem to be at rest unless I’m consistently and continuously reading and learning the Bible. I am not sure what He has plan for me, but my Faith has grown and still is growing and this is the road I know I should be on. I am excited that I can now continue my road that God laid out for me. Unfortunate, being in the military, I had to set my college ambitions and my goals to the side due to moving to a different duty station. I am now working and stationed at Fort Sam Houston Tx, when previously I was working at Fort Gordon Ga. With this new occupation I also had to take an exam to ensure I was still technically competent in my job to instruct to new incoming Soldiers, therefore more time was delayed because of prepping and studying for this

In order to achieve true happiness, you need to follow Jesus’ way of living. There are four fundamental characteristics and tools of Christian discipleship, but the ones I am focusing on are a personal relationship with Jesus, and living out the message. I believe that leadership is when somebody takes the initiative to help and motivate others by guiding and leading them to complete a goal or task. Leadership is very important because it helps people stay on track and achieve goals faster. It is especially important to show positive Christian leadership when I am acting because then I can show my faith and love for my Lord. If I act as a negative leader then it negatively affect others and their opinions of what they think about Christians.
