People declare that King Arthur’s knights are the most “mighty and most worthy of all mortal men” (42). As King Arthur’s knights, they are expected to be strong and brave since they have a certain standard to live up to from King Arthur--that is how they are expected to act. This is similar to the Christian faith. As Christians, we have a difficult task of showing continual forgiveness and love and faithfulness and righteousness, but that is expected of us. People have a certain expectation when viewing Christians since Christ is our greatest example.…

The Kingdom of God is composed of the Children of Adam who are the true believers and the non-Christians belong to the Kingdom of the World. Being a citizen of Christ requires us to serve the Church, pray, and follow His example. In order to be a good citizen of the world we are expected to perform our job as a member of society and obey the laws of the government. Luther reminds us to “Behave in such a way that you bear everything so that you may not need the governing authority to help you and serve you, but that you in turn may help and serve it, being beneficial to it” (Luther 436). Being a part of the Kingdom of the World requires us to know what our duties, rights, and obligations are so that we can have the correct relationship with the state.…

The Westminster Confession of Faith and the Baptist Faith & Message 2000 are two documents that influenced the writing of this confession. Both of them give excellent summaries of the Church be, while also giving ample Scriptural support. One key biblical text to explain the Church doctrine is 1 Corinthians 12:12-31, which talks about the Church as a human body. All members of the Church, whether they believe they have a small role or a big role, play a part in God’s Church, whether they are a hand, an eye, or an ear. Another key text is Colossians 1:18-20, where Christ is depicted as the head of the Church.…

II. The Sermon on the Mount is not a new law with more rigid commandments than Moses’s law. Therefore, I disagree with the following statement: “Some read the Sermon on the Mount as a new law with more stringent (rigid) commandments than the law taught by Moses.” Jesus said that he didn’t come to bring a new law but to fulfill the old (Mathew 5: 17). There is a historical continuity between the Old Law and the Sermon.…

Christianity is the most popular religion in America, and shortly after that is Mormonism. These two religions are both grounded in knowing who Jesus is, and the basic fundamentals of the Bible. Although both of these religions claim to be Christians or a form of Christian, Mormons definitely have their own take on how things happened and what they think to be true. I grew up learning a tremendous amount about both of these. I am a grounded Christian believer, with a very broadened knowledge on Mormonism.…

Christian religious tradition (or Christianity) has long been thought of as a set of dogmas, sacraments and moral attitudes linked with a belief and reverence in God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit as captured in the stores of the Bible. Within Biblical gospels one find descriptions of the many miracles Jesus Christ bestowed upon mankind, stories that became fundamental to Christian belief, where the faithful profess to the genuine nature of these stories as factual truths. Given the structure of the Christian religious traditions, Christian’s belief in miracles, expressions of divine intervention and the adherence to teachings, practices, and rituals associated with the faith with an established heritage and long history, many scholars…
