Chrisitian God Research Paper

I believe there’s no one definition to define God. To some he means everything, but to others he means nothing. I could go into detail and define him by the attribtues he displays or a nonspecific definition. However, a lot of people define him according to their regilions. For example, someone who happens to be a Buddhist may describe him with the characteristics in which he/she believes in. Since, I am a Christian, I chose to discuss the characteristics of the Chrisitian God. Having said that, I view him as the most important person in my life and as omnipotent, omnipresense and my provider. I think it’s important for everyone to have their own experience with God because it cannot be experienced from mine with him. My knowledge in reference …show more content…
This happens to be a difficult concept within the Christian community, known as the “Trinity” which is the belief that God is three separate people, but still only a single God. There’s so much taking place in the world and some are beginning to lose hope. People are being murdered every day in Chicago, young girls are taking from their homes and sold into sex salvery. There’s people who believe the world around us is falling apart and that’s exactly what the devil wants. Although, there’s a lot of evil being done there’s just as much good happening. The best way to defend my views on God is not through arguement, but through my actions. When someone happens to be in need then I offer help in any way I can. I’m always willing to give up my own personal agenda for the sake of God's will and letting my desires pass so that my faith can grow into a seed that matures into a productive plant. In science, they try to make it seem as if life came from absolutely nothing, but ask yourself how something can come from nothing. It’s impossible, and even scientist have agreed that the universe hasn’t existed forever. Also, it’s important for people to realize that the number one concept of God is that he is infinite and he has zero boundaries. In Exodus 3:14 God said to Moses, “I am who I am. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I am has sent me to you.

The main points that I learnt from Week One’s lecture material are simplistic, but I believe each is important and fundamental to my further knowledge and understanding of TH 250 – Christology. Firstly, a basic definition of topic: Christology is the study of the person of Jesus as the Christ: the Anointed One, The Messiah and the One who saves. Secondly, Jesus is the foundation stone of a belief that God is present in the world and that God can be known and experienced. And the heart of an act of faith: a people trusting and knowing that God sent Jesus.…

What is a God? Is He a higher being someone made up to feel better when people did something bad? Or the “person” that is up in the sky waiting for us to join Him after we die? Or a real, loving, caring higher power whose always has your back? A Christian God is a God who holds all morals and who does not want to see His people hurting, but wanting them to succeed and have a great life.…

Christianity, a religion known the world over however, It did not start this way and its rise to preeminence was fraught with alienation, destitution and persecution. Christianity follows the belief that a man named Jesus who was a great teacher of his time and regarded by his followers to not only be a prophet but in fact the flesh and blood incarnation of God. Came to this world in order to redeem mankind whom in the eyes of God had been willingly lead down the path of sin, though their trespasses had apparently not warranted an extinction level event such as found in the story of Noah and the flood. Instead he chose a different route and gave to mankind a message of love and toleration for one another. The Jewish leaders and Roman officials…

What my husband's advancement to Chief Petty Officer means to me? The answer of that question could be 10 pages long or I could just resume what I feel in one word, "extremely proud", well I guess two words. I met Christian 16 years ago, he was full of energy, funny, and he had the ability to turn any sad or bad situation into a joke making everybody laugh; that is what make me fell in love with him. On the other hand, he was a little immature, unfocused when it comes to work, and nothing seemed to fulfill his expectations. I always knew that his passion was a career in the military, but that was out of question in my book!…

Due to my working hours, l can’t be there when my son’s come home from school, so my wife will have them call me at work shortly after they arrive. When my son’s and I converse generally we talk about the events of their day. recently my oldest son (13) calls and tells me of a bully who has called him names and my son is asking what he should do, how should he respond? It was during this conversation that the words of Jesus from John 15 ran through my mind: 18 “If the world hates you, [e]you know that it has hated Me before it hated you.19 If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you.…

The churches had spacious courtyard where the city’s poor were able to gather, and the bishops cared for the metropolitan poor. “Set your affections on things above; love one another; commune at the table of our Lord in one spirit; worship in spirit and in truth; and if daily adoring, imploring, and living the divine Life, Truth, Love, thou shalt partake of the bread that cometh down from heaven, drink of the cup of salvation, and be baptized in Spirit,” wrote Mary Baker Eddy in 1898 (Christian Science Versus Pantheism). Mrs. Eddy (as she is colloquially referred to by her followers) was the woman who came to found the Christian Science religion, based on the metaphysical New Thought movement, in 1879 (Christian Science, “What is Christian Science?”). For individuals who are born into the modern Christian Science church, understanding the concept of “divinity” in the…

In this essay, I will be talking about what I believe to be true from what Jesus tells us in the Bible, about being the Son of God and how He was here to die on the cross for our sins, showing everyone who He was and who ever believe in Him is save, or healed if they were sick. In this paper, I will be talking about the trustworthiness and historicity of the Gospels. The historical reliability of the Gospel accounts of Jesus’ miracles, and did Jesus claim to be God. Did his disciples believe he was God? The accuracy of the resurrection accounts in the Gospels, that is, did Jesus rise bodily from the dead?…

Simply stated, a worldview is how you view the world around you. Weider and Gutierrez state that it is a “framework” (79) for our decision making. As humans, we make decisions about the world around us, based on our experiences and our background of our beliefs. When an individual sits down and thinks about is worldview, he may think he does not have one, but in reality, we all have a worldview. Unconsciously, our worldview plays a part in our decision making in all facets of our daily lives.…

Does God take a figure of a human, and walk amongst us, or is God only an imaginative being? In fact, God can be whatever people need him to be. Some of the biggest holy books which all portray a distinct type of God describing the way people should live their lives or the ways to everlasting life in heaven are the Bhagavad Gita, the Holy Bible, and the Quran.…
