American Gun was influenced by his vast knowledge of guns along with his opinions on the best guns in American history. Whereas American Sniper was influenced by what he lived through and encountered during his four tours in Iraq. During his four tours he was put through a lot of traumatic experiences that would give me and you nightmares. Chris Kyle’s first time killing was when he was on a rooftop covering Marines while they searched and made their way to the country north of Saddam Hussein. The town was deserted most of the residents had already left or were in their house scared to go out. A woman and her child stepped into the dusty street. Chris Kyle looked through the scope on his .300 WinMag bolt-action rifle he noticed the woman was holding something. He honed in on the object in her hands it was a grenade, the woman was holding a Chinese grenade Chris had to make a split second decision does he take the shot and kill her or does he let her kill the Marines with the grenade? He took a deep breath and pulled the trigger, he took out the target before she could. Chris’s first kill was also the only time he ever killed someone while in Iraq that wasn’t a male combatant. Some people say that kill was Chris Kyle’s “Cherry pop kill”, meaning he was no longer a “virgin” killer.
