Completing four separate tours, surviving six IED attacks, three gunshot wounds, and two helicopter crashes Chris Kyle made 160 confirmed kills and 255 claimed kills. Within this time he earned two silver medals and five bronze just on his tour to Iraq. However, being a sniper isn’t just shooting a large gun while in camouflage, the job also includes solving very difficult mathematical skills. With these skills he helped our country immensely. These extremely needed skills include calculating wind speed, the spin of the bullet, and the rotation of the Earth on the axis. Not only did Chris Kyle record all the numbers under pressure, but he also had to complete the task extremely quickly. With his amazing achievements, he also said “‘I just did a job. I was in some b@&@** situations, but it wasn’t just me. My teammates made it possible.”’ However, even after the military life he never stopped serving his country. While home with his family and kids he started a security company named CRAFT, he also wrote a New York Times bestselling book, American Sniper, as well as took veteran’s to gun ranges and shot rounds with them. The community of Chris Kyle was also what ended his life, while at a gun range with a veteran on February 2, 2013 the veteran lost control and shot Chris which sadly ended the American heroes’ life.
