Scot "Chris" Kyle was a former navy seal, and was the most lethal sniper in the U.S. military history with over 160 kills confirmed by the Department of Defense. He was born on April 8, 1974 in Odessa, TX, and died on February 2, 2013 in Erath County, TX. He served 4 tours in the Iraq War. He received numerous awards for acts of heroism during combat. After he went to (BUDS) he was assigned to the sniper platoon charlie.

During his first tour in Iraq the insurgents in Ramadi put up a bounty for $21,000 for his head that was later increased to $80,000, and gave him the nickname "The Devil of Ramadi". The funny thing was that on the flyer for his head was a different snipers face. His first long range shot was in Sadr City.

He almost broke his wife's arm, and almost killed his neighbors dog. He then went to seek therapy to help him get better on his aggression that he was suffering due to the P.T.S.D. He then became very calm and very rarely had outburst after the therapy. After the therapy was over he joined FITCO cares Foundation which is a non-profit organization to help troops who suffer from P.T.S.D. coupe with it, help veterans that got injured get better, and Gold Star Families. After a few years Chris Kyle an his companion Chad Littlefield took a veteran named Eddie Ray Routh to a shooting range in Erath County, TX to help him coupe with his P.T.S.D. Eddie was a 25 year old veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps from Lancaster, TX. Both Chris and Chad were armed with .44 caliber 1911 style pistols when they were killed. Neither Chris nor Chad drew their sidearms in attempt to shoot back. In fact both of their guns were still in their holsters and their guns safety catches were still on safety mode. The suspect who killed them was Eddie. He was armed with a 9mm SIG Sauer pistol and that gun belonged to Chris. Right after Eddie Shot Chris and Chad, Eddie fled to his sisters house with Chris's F-350 and told her what had just happened, and at that point his sister called 911 an told them what had happened.
