He then became very calm and very rarely had outburst after the therapy. After a few years Chris Kyle an his companion Chad Littlefield took a veteran named Eddie Ray Routh to a shooting range in Erath County, TX to help him coupe with his P.T.S.D. Eddie was a 25 year old veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps from Lancaster, TX. Both Chris and Chad were armed with .44 caliber 1911 style pistols when they were killed. Neither Chris nor Chad drew their sidearms in attempt to shoot back. In fact both of their guns were still in their holsters and their guns safety catches were still on safety mode.
