Chorus Application Essay Examples

Since my freshman year of high school i have been involved in alot of school events, clubs, and classes. But the thing i believe i'm successful and talented in is Chorus/music. I may be great at cheer leading, and i love it, but chorus and music have always been what i'm really good at. Out of everything i have done, chorus/music has been my calling and i'm grateful for that. Not everybody finds something they're good at or love.

I have been involved with the chorus department since sixth grade, but i have had a passion for music and singing since a young age of three. I know this because, i have vhs tapes of myself standing on top of tables and grabbing anything close to me to use as a microphone. Growing up i was surrounded by musical influences. From there i learned to play my favorite songs, classic songs, and i wrote some songs. In middle school i learned to play the piano; my favorite teacher Ms. Lowman, who was my chorus teacher also, inspired me and i wanted to play just like her, so with some afternoon tutoring and the class, i played my first piano recital in seventh grade. Since then I've played numerous songs and have wrote them too. My seventh and eighth grade years at middle school i had numerous solos in our pieces, and and audition for the talent show with my two best friends. With my involvement in the chorus department we went to many things and sang. My eight grade year, we went to Carowinds for a choral competition, called music in the parks and we won two first place trophies in our division and over all. During my first three years of i high school i focused alot of my attention to my music and chorus. In class we would have to do theory and i absolutely loved it, i would spend time in my other classes doing it, and maybe once or twice get told to put it
