If students were given the power to choose their own teachers and classes then school would be more effective. By giving students this power it could raise the grades of the students and create less of a distraction because they would have the teachers that they learn from the best. For 2 years a school in Versailles, Ky., Woodford County High School has been practicing this type of schooling, which is called arena schooling. It was 491 to 518 AD, and I read that during this time he was a good administrator and built up the bank and brought tax relief to the people. Many business people had to pay taxes and they hated doing this, but since he had careful policies, when he died there was still 520,000 pounds of gold in the bank. He could have spent all this money, but he didn’t. This is an example of a leader using his power for good, even though the people did not always agree with his rules. By having the money left when he died it shows me that he was trying to take care of the country and get the finances under control.
