College Research Paper Choosing a college can be a very difficult decision. There are many things to consider when narrowing down the choices. Everyone has different aspects that are important to them as well as different schools they are interested in. Personally, I am interested in factors like location and school size. In this essay, I will examine three schools: University of South Florida (USF), University of Central Florida (UCF), and SUNY at Stony Brook University—SUNY. USF is located in Tampa, Florida, which is only about one hour away from my home. While it would be nice to be close to my family, I do not like the weather in Florida. It is too hot in the summer and it is not cold for very long in the winter. Despite this, there are many things about USF that I enjoy. Since it is an in-state school, the tuition is very low. For the 2014-15 school year, it cost $6,410 for a Florida resident to attend USF. The university has one of the lowest rates for tuition in the country. USF also offers a number of scholarships and financial aid. My mother went to USF as well, which would probably offer me an advantage in getting a scholarship or getting accepted to the university. Last summer, I visited the campus in Tampa and I was pleased with the layout; the school was very large and modern.
