"Hold the door, say please, say thank you, don’t steal, don’t cheat, and don’t lie." Over the past ten years, chivalry has faded away, but people need to start bringing it back. In that same time frame racism, crimes, and not having respect has became a huge problem. There is a lot of proof that respect is disappearing from the world, hope Is not lost until it is completely gone. When we tolerate disrespectful behavior, it can eventually lead to crime and violence. Being consistent and having common goals is important to teaching polite behavior.

Having good manners towards others means acting in a manner that is socially acceptable and respectful. Telling people please and thank you is good manners towards others. When shopping for groceries and the bagger helps you carry them out, you should always tell them thank you. Say thank you when you receive anything from someone and please while requesting something. Consider other people 's feelings is another good example of good manners. Don’t just assume that feelings are unimportant because they have a different value. Opening your mind up before you say something will help you not hurt people 's feelings. Good manners refers to polite, humble, courteous, respectful and well-cultured social behavior.
