In these three stories chivalry is shown in many ways . The Holy Grail plot line ends to make fun of the knights braveness such as Sir Gawain brave action or Beowulf never ending fight. Beowulf is a brave knight who never gives up, of course with his trustee Knight who does not coward away like them all. They defeat the dragon with honor. Just like in Sir Gawain honor is important as he honors the king and takes the Green Knight on his challenge and ends up in a situation which he wishes to coward from but does not he shows up a year later at the Green Castle with a trick up his leave but keeping his word.He shows total respect to the King.
