1. Nanny;2015-present; During my graduate school program at the University of South Florida I am currently working as a nanny. My responsibilities include preparing meals, feeding, leading activities, and playing with the two children. I currently work an average of 10 hours a week for the family.
2.Chiropractic Assistant; 2014-2015; Upon graduating from FSU I was lucky to have gained an amazing position as a chiropractic assistant at a thriving practice in my community. This position opened my eyes up to a new field of medicine and taught me skills I will use in the future. Front Desk Coordinator;2011-2014; When I was attending Florida State University , I had the pleasure of working for the University of Florida State Housing as a front desk coordinator. My responsibilities were assisting the students in tasks such as moving in, moving out, and campus information. I also was in charge of checking out all the games, cleaning supplies, spare room keys, and other equipment. I felt very honored to be apart of the Smith Hall family during my 4 years at FSU. LRMC Volunteer; During my summer before entering as a freshman at FSU, I volunteered at my local hospital. I have volunteered there since I was 13 years old throughout the years. I performed tasks such as delivering samples to the laboratory, transporting patients from radiology to their rooms, and helping with the discharge process. This experience guided me throughout high school to pursue my future as a physician.
2. Big Bend Hospice; Working as a hospice volunteer in Tallahassee opened my eyes to a different aspect of medicine. I learned that as physicians there comes a time in every patient where even medicine can't stop death. Being a volunteer and interacting with these patients helped me cope with death and learn to not fear death. I became a source of joy for these patients and gave them companionship.
3. The Villages Hospital; During a few of my spring breaks and holiday breaks, I volunteered at the Villages Hospital and Nursing home. I worked under a nurse practitioner and my responsibilities included transporting patients, delivering lab reports, and most of all helping the patients feel comfortable. This experience was so beneficial because other than surgical observations and physician shadowing this gave me another experience in a clinical setting.
