Chipotle’s interdependence is strong. They perform better as a small group with more people. Interdependence is define as “the process by which a change in one part affects the other parts”. What influenced my assessments was when two others came in at noon. One of the two got to work on the assembly line which meant the order taker could get to customers faster since he was also juggling online orders.…
Chipotle faced some issues that posed a threat to the company. One issue was that some of the suppliers did not supply them with 100 percent farm raised food and animals. They were heavily criticized for not living up to the Food With Integrity mission. This is a problem Chipotle definitely needed to fix in order to win costumers over and also gain new ones. Another issue was that the company grew and expanded rapidly, however, they encountered financial challenges while trying to raise funds to open new branches.…
The incorporation of ever changing innovations and building new partnerships with suppliers who are willing to be a part of Chipotle’s Food With Integrity campaign, can push Chipotle to be on top and maximize profits while satisfying their consumers. The company has already employed a new chef who is experienced in devising new menus and has planned to test them in the new restaurants. Although it is a challenging idea since Chipotle is known for its signature menu items, it is an innovation that can grow with the company. Furthermore, Chipotle has also plans of incorporating a children’s menu so that children and families can visit the various restaurants, frequently. As part of their innovative strategies, Chipotle also plan to open in Asia,…

Both Chipotle and Chick-fil-A have similar philosophies about fresh and organic food supplies. The two fast-food restaurants are used to analyze internal processes, concepts and tools. A flowchart is depicted to show a visual representation of the original supply chain that may have led to Chipotles food contamination crisis. An additional flowchart is included to suggest an improved way to supply the Chipotle restaurant chains to prevent such an incidence. Chick-fil-A is analyzed and a flow chart is presented to evaluate how the manufacturing process can be improved to remain competitive.…
On Halloween night from 5:00 pm to closing time, you have the chance to get a burrito, taco, or salad from Chipotle for only three dollars! All you have to do is wear a costume and then add an unnecessary addition to it. An example would be a fairy costume and then add a mustache to your face or a ghost in high heels. The message that they are trying to say, from the costumes, is that Chipotle's food is made with all natural foods that are not processed or added with preservatives, such as how McDonalds, Burger King, and others' food are added with preservatives so that they can last longer. McDonald's and Burger King also have processed foods so that they can make the products at a cheaper price.…
Intro/Background http://www.bloomberg.com/graphics/2015-chipotle-oral-history/ Chipotle Mexican Grill was founded by Steve Ells in 1993. The concept of the restaurant was inspired by the foil wrapped mission-style burritos Steve ate while working in San Francisco, California. When he proposed the idea to his friends and family, they were not too supportive about it. His dad’s response was “So you have six years of pretty expensive schooling here, and it's going to be burritos and tacos? Are you serious?”.…
Chipotle Argumentative essay Chipotle was the restaurant of choice due to customization of food, discounts, fast service, trendy art, ease of ordering by phone application, and responsibly raised meat. Compared to the competing eating establishment known as Moe’s Southwest Grill, which offers a similar style of food. Our appeal to Chipotle from the view of logos point is the ease of ordering process. If a customer doesn’t have time to wait in line and needs a meal to be ready upon arrival, they can simply use the phone application to order.…
MOTIVATION AND BACKGROUND OF PROBLEM/OPPORTUNITY Chipotle and Qdoba are two competing Mexican Grills in the Springfield, Missouri area. The two restaurants are compared frequently because of their similarities in price and choice of food and drink. The grills also market in a futuristic way by using the internet for the majority of all advertisements. Chipotle’s website states, “…we focus on sourcing the best possible ingredients, serving the tastiest food, and growing the most capable team we can” (Arnold 2014).…
As a former athlete I am always looking for food on the go. I was never a big McDonalds, Burger or Wendy’s person, but two places that I have loved since my first bite are Chipotle and Chick-Fil-A. Both are places that I would eat at on a weekly basis, at minimum. This ended in October 2015. There were two separate outbreaks of the bacteria were investigated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service and public health officials in several states. In the first outbreak 55 people were infected by the foodborne illness in 11 states, of which 21 were hospitalized.…
Steve Ells founder of Chipotle. Ells a native of Denver, Colorado had a dream of owning a fine, dine restaurant. Like any others who dream of doing so money is always an issue. Steve Ells graduated from school with not an idea of what he wanted to do but he knew he did like cooking. With that in mind, he ventures out from his hometown to attend culinary school in San Francesco.…
Chipotle is my personal favorite out of every restaurant in Beavercreek. So there is a big argument on how Chipotle and Hothead are either the same or one is better than the other. I am here to debate or confirm that Chipotle is way better. The burrito with rice, steak chicken sour cream and cheese is the best thing you can get at Chipotle. If you get that same exact order at Hothead it would be worse because its popularity level isn’t as high as chipotle.…
In the Chipotle super bowl ad, there is a wave of depressing feelings being portrayed as the ad shows a farmer, who has just started a family, and seems like a nice guy that soon turns into a farmer that begins caging up all of these farm animals and injecting chemicals and other inhumane things into them. Luckily, the farmer comes to a realization towards the end as to what he has done and is able to 'save' the farm animals by undoing all the horrible things he began doing in the beginning. I believe the purpose of this ad is to get its audience to eat at Chipotle or to make their audience remember Chipotle so that when they are hungry, Chipotle is one of the first places they think of. This ads audience is families and people who are opposed…
Chipotle for the Win: For those of you NOT following the life-threatening news surrounding Chipotle, here is a quick catch up: Chipotle was slammed by a lawsuit at the end of 2015 for failing to disclose information about transgressions against food safety. This accusation was brought on by the outbreak of E. Coli found in Chipotle’s notoriously fresh ingredients. Nearly 500 people have contracted a foodborne illness from the Chipotle chain since July. Ironically, 374 of the 500 people sickened contracted the Norovirus/Norwalk virus from sick employees which had nothing to do with Chipotle’s ingredients. Taking that into account there were nearly 126 people that may have been sickened by Chipotle’s ingredients, but none died.…
Throughout this course we have been discussing the Chipotle crisis, and unfortunately its not quite over yet. This past Tuesday, five students of Miami University in Oxford Ohio came into the schools medical center complaining about stomach pains, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. These five students, along with more unidentified cases tested positive for the Norovirus, which is a common cause of food-borne diseases. Norovirus being the same virus thats been a reported an outbreak at Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc across the United States in the past several months. According to this article, this very affects about 21 million people in the U.S each year, causing between 570-800 related deaths.…
