There are hundreds of mobile eateries selling gourmet global cuisine across the city of New York, alongside traditional hotdog vendors and halal carts to name few of them. According to New York Times, there are great cheap global lunch options in the corners of Manthttan, and not just in ethnic pockets like Koreatown or Little Brazil, but right outside the office building in Midtown. They are saying good bye to the Baja Fresh nacho burrito which I think is very boring food to eat if you are like me who wants more taste and excitement in the food. There are specific placed where food trucks tend to congregate such as Long Island City, where there’s a Food Truck Lot which has almost same vendors each day (Lubbock). When I was in Manhattan, it was very hard to go 2 blocks without hitting a food truck but the best places were in the Union Square, where the different truck lined up along the Water Street and Wall Street. For long time they have banned street food in Chicago but recently they have lifted the ordnance about street food.
