Steve Ells founder of Chipotle. Ells a native of Denver, Colorado had a dream of owning a fine, dine restaurant. Like any others who dream of doing so money is always an issue. Steve Ells graduated from school with not an idea of what he wanted to do but he knew he did like cooking. With that in mind, he ventures out from his hometown to attend culinary school in San Francesco. He finished school there and started working at a fine restaurant called Star Restaurant. His love for fine, cuisine cooking grew and he set his mind to opening up his own restaurant one day. He had a plan from an idea he got from visiting some of his favorite eating places there in San Francesco. One particular place he visited on an occasion was a burrito making place. …show more content…
He had hired one time a person who was supposed to be the manager material of his business and the only thing he manages to do was to show it and walk away with the safe to Chipotle. So, his team has been people around him that know him and want what’s good for him and his restaurant. His business plan was for him to make 24,000 dollars in a year but he made that faster than he imagines. Even thou in his heart he wanted to open up his fine, dine in restaurant once he accomplished the money needed, his customers pushed him to open another Chipotle in Denver. Each time Steve would open another Chipotle Place he still feels guilty that he never opened his fine, dine in restaurant. In 1995, he opened another Chipotle in Denver, Colorado which came from the money he made at his first store. People were raving on how good his burritos were that Steve Ells decided to continue his horizon with growing his franchise. His parents raised over a million dollars for their son to continue growing and strength his already business because of how fast his demand was he money was moving out the dollar even faster. His family and friends including him was to reach out to a major company to help back up his business; they were in need of an investor to continue operating at the rate of how his business was progressing. His family and friends had done a business plan for thirteen capital investors which they were rejected by all thirteen of them. It was his dad he knew a good friend who had just got hired by McDonalds to do a new business development for the company that Steve Ells was able to go in and ask McDonalds to invest in his business. He served them his burritos while attending his meeting. Shortly afterwards, he had several men from the company pop up and come by his second store buying everything he was serving while eating in the limo that they drove up in after
